He couldn't believe that I had the nerve to make him do the sheet with the (gasp!) princess on it (not just the word but a picture even! eww!) He was disgusted, angry, and on the verge of a major school day meltdown over the icky topic of princesses invading his handwriting practice (something he clearly needs a lot more of.)
With all the compassion and patience I could muster (none), I told him to get over it and do his schoolwork.
So he did.
And it's my favorite piece of paper ever.
The end.
I am cracking up! I love Tristan's story too (and such a boy ending:o)
ReplyDeleteOh my, this is hilarious! Hope you keep this forever.
ReplyDeleteRyan and I are laughing so hard at this! I believe this needs to be framed.
ReplyDeleteand to think he didn't even need to consult the word box suggestions. love it.
ReplyDeleteI concur this is a framer! And am SO encouraged at his spelling mistakes! :) And to know that I'm not the only one that lacks compassion and grace on the "hard" days! Thanks for being real, Kelli! Love this!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that is Hilarious! I can't stop laughing! Love Love Love this!
ReplyDeletei just noticed the "word box" on the side. I like how he used NONE of those words! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, Kelli! You make me smile. Despite the fact that you may not have mustered any patience for him at that moment, you stepped back and laughed at it later. I love that and need more of it in my life.
