On a sunny day at the close of Winter, we hunted for Spring among bare branches as our feet crunched leaves. The sun warmed our faces as the wind numbed our fingers.
"It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light and winter in the shade." -Charles DickensChildren and puppies react to freedom and fresh air in much the same way; running, sliding, tumbling, wrestling. They looked like ants on that great hillside.
We didn't find our friend, Spring, that day, but she was so close. We could hear her whisper, soft as a maple blossom, I'll be there soon.
Mom and I are sitting here in the NavPress Publisher's Conference room, reading your winsome words thinking: 'our daughters need to be writing some of these books that surround us here'~~!!
