for the sweet words of thanks on each of those leaves
for the beautiful colors still clinging to trees
for good friends visiting and the sound of kids at play
for the planned turkey bowl (oh please rain, wait a day!)
for parent and grands, siblings, nephews and nieces
including one new one, I already love her to pieces
for my husbands presence at the table today
and for his fellow Marines still in harms way
for a turkey in the oven and pies of pecan
for a list that could go on and on and on and on...
Happy Thanksgiving
Beautiful Poem and pictures to go along it! I like that I was able to write on one of those leaves :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved this poem, Kelli. :) I am so thankful for you and your sweet friendship, precious friend!!! Wish we could be together more, but oh-so-thankful that time and distance can't diminish our bond!! Love you to pieces!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photography-so nice to visit your site on this snowy thanksgiving day.
