one last bunch...

I've uploaded a handful of old photos to Flickr.  They are the ones that stood out to me as I was going back through the folders, the months, the years.  They are mostly of my flowers -evidence of how much I miss my garden.  I'm about finished with this tedious moving of memories safely to disks, which means I am about to load the new photos I took over the weekend at the apple orchard.  I do miss those flowers that once sat on my table, but as I sit here, looking at the bowl of pretty apples now in their place and my kids gathered around them with books and coloring pages, I know that there will always be beautiful, changing, growing, living reasons to pick up my camera.  I take these photos to remember the beauty given to me every day, but it is the act of seeking them out that keeps me so grounded in this moment, right here, right now.  This is the day...
