We made it back to North Carolina yesterday after two long days in the car. It was so cool our last week in Kansas, I began to feel like our vacation was truly marking the end of summer. Fall is still weeks away but I think it is going to sneak up on us quickly among the soccer practices and school days. I still have a lot of pictures to share from our time in Kansas City so I'll post those in the coming days as we try to settle back into reality. Here's a favorite to start with...
...the entire family in one place. This is a historic moment, this photo. It was the first time we've managed to all get together as deployments kept Shawn out of the picture for the last couple of family gatherings. Hopefully we'll have many more pictures like this one to come and oh what a joy it will be to see new faces join the crowd!

What great family pictures! I love seeing you all together with grandkids and everyone. Doesn't it make you wonder what YOUR family of five will have grown to in 25 years!!
