august garden | cosmos

Spanish priests growing these beauties in Mexico noticed the perfectly spaced petals and christened them with the Greek word, Cosmos, meaning harmony or ordered universe. They are pest free, easy to grow, heat lovers and simply stunning against a blue sky. Harmony indeed.

  1. The pink look beautiful against the sky! And I love Kenna's expression in the first picture. I think she likes Cosmos, too.

  2. Always fun to hear the history and development of both plant and place names! Never knew why they were called cosmos! d
