We welcomed blue-sky July with a morning of playtime at the marina. The big kids swam with Grandad while the littlest kid lounged in one of several available laps in the shade.
The kids really wanted to fish so I opened up the boat to get their poles and was met by a swarm of yellow jackets that have taken up residence inside. They were determined to keep me out and I was determined to run away quickly so no fishing poles today -evicting the stinging intruders is a job I'm happy to leave for my marine. The fishing gear set-back didn't keep Tristan and Kenna from catching a few critters though.
Shawn will be home Friday, just in time to join us back out here, kill some hornets, grill some hot dogs and set sail for a little Fourth of July fun!
I would have left the fishing poles alone, too. I hope you guys have a wonderful time this weekend all together and that hopefully Shawn will be home for awhile!
